Nikolina Vujinović, our law firm Managing Partner, held an educational lecture entitled “The rights and obligations of photographers towards the subjects and objects they photograph”, at the invitation of Fabrika fotografa, a platform focused on education in the field of photography.

This was a unique opportunity to provide, from the legal side, answers to the questions faced by many of those who “stand” behind the lens. And with the premise that when we master a clear legal framework about what is allowed to be photographed and in what way – we can avoid all potential problems and doubts and indulge in this art.

Some of the key aspects that Vujinović spoke about concerned the following issues:

• In what circumstances am I allowed to photograph someone on the street, and in which am I not?

• What consent do I need if I photograph children? 
• Who and in what situations can ask me to delete the photos I take? 
• Under what conditions and where am I allowed, and where am I not allowed, to publish photos featuring people?

The lecture, which was held via the popular Zoom platform, aroused great interest, and the attendees received knowledge based on which they will be able to be completely sure of what is “according to the Law” when it comes to photography. 

It is a curiosity that Nikolina Vujinović herself deals with the art of photography, so in that sense she spoke not only from the point of view of a lawyer, but also from her own experience.
